From the lead's perspective, Estrela (star) is a forward Basic 3 with a 90 degree turn to the right or left, then a basic 3 backwards. It is common to end the move with a balance.

Lead

1. Take a left step forward.
2. Take a right step forward.
3. Pivot the chest to the right and step in place with the left leg.
4. Take a right step backward.
5. Marca or Balance.

Key elements of the move

• The pivoting of the torso on step 3.
• Practice the full drill to the left and to the right.
• Practice the key element back to back (left, balance, right).
